Ingredients
- 1 kg carrot
- 3 tablespoons mustard seeds
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 4 liters hot water
- 3 mint leaves
Recipe
- 1 wash and scrape carrots.
- 2 cut into 4 lengthwise.
- 3 dry grind the mustard seeds.
- 4 mix together carrots, salt, mustard seeds and chilli.
- 5 gently add water, mix well.
- 6 put the mixture into a large bottle.
- 7 close lid tightly and keep it in the sun for 5-6 days.
- 8 shake the bottle a few times daily.
- 9 chill kanji before serving.
- 10 sprinkle chopped mint and serve.
