Ingredients
- Servings: 8
- 1 large onion, diced
- 6 carrots, sliced
- 4 celery ribs, sliced
- 2 cups frozen corn
- 4 teaspoons better than bouillon, no chicken flavor
- 8 cups water
- 1 lb split peas, rinsed
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Recipe
- 1 saute onion in one short spray of cooking spray until just starts to soften. add remaining ingredients except paprika and pepper, bring to a boil. reduce heat to low and simmer covered for one hour or until vegetables are soft. when finished, add smoked paprika and black pepper to taste.
