Kahlua Glazed Carrots

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 3 cups sliced carrots
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 cup kahlua
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 -6 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled

Recipe

  • 1 cook carrots in a steamer for 4-5 minutes until tender/crisp.
  • 2 remove from heat.
  • 3 melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • 4 stir in brown sugar, honey& 2 tablespoons of the kahlua.
  • 5 cook until it bubbles.
  • 6 combine the remaining kahlua and the cornstarch and stir until blended.
  • 7 add to the brown sugar mixture.
  • 8 add salt and cook until thickened.
  • 9 add the cooked carrots& toss gently until well coated.
  • 10 cook until the carrots are heated throughout.
  • 11 put in a serving dish and sprinkle with bacon.
