Favorite Fried Rice

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 cups rice
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 3 eggs, whipped
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1 cup green peas
  • 1 cup carrot
  • 1/4 cup oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons cooking sherry
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 pinch pepper

Recipe

  • 1 boil rice in 4 cups water mixed with the hoisin sauce.
  • 2 pour into shallow dish and put in fridge to cool.
  • 3 heat oil in wok.
  • 4 add garlic, ginger, onion, peas and carrots and saute for 1 minute.
  • 5 add the eggs and cook like an omelet.
  • 6 mix oyster sauce, soy sauce, sherry, sesame oil and pepper.
  • 7 add rice to wok.
  • 8 pour sauce over rice and mix.
  • 9 serve and enjoy.
