Glazed Carrots And Onions

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 lb carrot
  • 1 onion
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • salt, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon parsley

Recipe

  • 1 scrape and slice carrot quite thickly.
  • 2 peel and chop onion.
  • 3 put carrots and onion in saucepan with butter, sugar, salt, pepper and water and cook (i'm assuming at a simmer -- book doesn't state) uncovered until carrots are tender and the water has evaporated.
  • 4 sprinkle with chopped parsley.
