Ingredients

- 6 cups carrots, cut into 1-inch diagonal slices
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 cook carrots in 1/4 cup salted water until tender, then drain.
- 2 whisk together orange juice, nutmeg, brown sugar, cornstarch, until smooth. pour over carrots and cook for several minutes until mixture thickens.
- 3 add butter and toss.
- 4 serve hot.
