Glazed Carrots

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 6 cups carrots, cut into 1-inch diagonal slices
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 cook carrots in 1/4 cup salted water until tender, then drain.
  • 2 whisk together orange juice, nutmeg, brown sugar, cornstarch, until smooth. pour over carrots and cook for several minutes until mixture thickens.
  • 3 add butter and toss.
  • 4 serve hot.
