Grandma Patteson's Creamed Carrots

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb carrot
  • 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dill weed
  • 1/4 cup light cream

Recipe

  • 1 boil carrots for 10 minutes or until tender then drain and place in a buttered casserole dish.
  • 2 sauté onions in butter until transparent.
  • 3 stir flour into onions.
  • 4 then gradually stir in chicken broth,salt,pepper and dillweed.
  • 5 cook until thickened and smooth.
  • 6 add cream and stir well.
  • 7 pour sauce over carrots.
  • 8 bake at 350 f for 30 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
