French's Slow Cooker Beef Stew

Total Time: 9 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 9 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 lbs stew beef stew meat, cubed
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 (12 ounce) jars heinz beef gravy
  • 1/4-1/3 cup french's classic worcestershire sauce
  • 1 lb small potato, halved
  • 1 1/2 cups baby carrots
  • 2 cups frozen peas, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 season meat with salt and pepper to taste.
  • 2 brown meat in 2 tablespoons olive oil in skillet then transfer carefully to slow cooker.
  • 3 in slow cooker stir in remaining ingredients except peas.
  • 4 cover and cook on high for 4 1/2 hours or 9 hours on low.
  • 5 add peas during last 30 minutes of cooking.
  • 6 serve stew with thick crusty bread if desired.
