Ground Beef Noodle Soup

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup carrot
  • 7 cups water
  • 1 (1 1/4 ounce) envelope au jus mix
  • 2 tablespoons beef bouillon granules
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups uncooked egg noodles

Recipe

  • 1 in a large saucepan or dutch oven, cook the beef, onion, celery and carrot over medium heat and drain.
  • 2 add the water, au jus mix, bouillon, bay leaves and pepper and bring to a boil.
  • 3 stir in the noodles and return to a boil.
  • 4 cook, uncovered, for 15 minutes or until noodles are tender, stirring occasionally.
  • 5 discard bay leaves before serving.
