Low Fat Country Turkey Loaf

Total Time: 2 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 45 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup carrot
  • 1/2 cup onion
  • 1/2 cup mushroom
  • 1/4 cup sweet red pepper
  • 1/2 cup canned tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup dried breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup egg substitute
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon table salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f grease a shallow baking pan; set aside.
  • 2 dice the carrots, onions, mushrooms and red peppers.
  • 3 in a large bowl, combine turkey, carrot, onion, mushroom, bell pepper, tomato sauce, soy sauce, bread crumbs, egg substitute, garlic powder, salt and pepper; mix well.
  • 4 shape turkey mixture into a loaf in prepared pan. bake, uncovered, for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until cooked through and starting to brown. let stand several minutes before slicing.
