Green Herb Hummus

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 tablespoons tahini (middle eastern sesame paste)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley leaves
  • 6 basil leaves
  • 1 medium scallion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon dill, chopped, fresh
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil

Recipe

  • 1 place ingredients in a food processor and pulse until smooth.
  • 2 serve with dippers such as carrot sticks, sliced cucumber, whole wheat pita chips, flat breads, to name just a few. garnish with parsley and/or dill.
  • 3 may refrigerate up to 2 days.
