Hellboy's Fried Rice

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 cups jasmine rice
  • 1 tablespoon chicken stock
  • 1 tablespoon peanut oil
  • 1 green capsicum
  • 1 onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 100 g bacon
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Recipe

  • 1 cook the rice in the usual manner, adding the chicken stock to the water. leave in the fridge for a few hours. cooking the day before is a good idea.
  • 2 chop the onion, carrot and capsicum into find pieces.
  • 3 fry the egg and bacon in a pan and put aside. chop them both into fine pieces.
  • 4 heat the oil in a pan, add the onion, garlic, ginger and basil. cook for a few minutes.
  • 5 add the chopped carrots and capsicum. cook for a few more minutes.
  • 6 add the rice and cook for a few more minutes.
  • 7 add the sweet chilli sauce, and mix it inches.
  • 8 add salt, pepper and soy sauce to taste.
  • 9 add the pre-cooked bacon and egg.
  • 10 enjoy!
