Filipino Cube Steak (bistek Tagalog)

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 2 1/2 lbs of cubed steak
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1/2 cup carrot, sliced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup string bean, fresh
- 1 pinch pepper
- 1 cup water
- 1 pinch msg
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch (mixed with 1/4 cup of water)
Recipe
- 1 in a skillet, add water, steak, garlic,, lemon juice, soy sauce, pepper, and msg.
- 2 bring to a boil and mix well.
- 3 reduce heat and simmer for about 30 - 45 minutes until the liquid reduces my half.
- 4 add the onions and green beans and cook until vegetables are tender.
- 5 add the cornstarch and water mixture and cook until the liquid thickens to the consistency of runny gravy.
- 6 serve with fresh jasmine rice.
