Homemade Marinara Sauce

Total Time: 24 hrs 30 mins Preparation Time: 24 hrs Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 medium onions, diced
  • 8 fresh garlic cloves, finely minced (or more to taste)
  • 1/3 cup fresh basil
  • 1 sprig fresh thyme leaves or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 sprig fresh oregano or 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 bay leaves (remove when done)
  • 2 sprigs fresh parsley or 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 zucchini (chopped)
  • 1 eggplant (chopped)
  • 5 lbs roma tomatoes

Recipe

  • 1 place all ingredients in a large crockpot.
  • 2 cook overnight on low.
  • 3 remove sprigs of herbs
