Creamy Tortellini Primavera

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 (16 ounce) bag baby carrots
  • 3 celery ribs, sliced
  • 1/2 cup ready-to-serve chicken broth
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (16 ounce) bag frozen cheese tortellini
  • 1/4 lb deli ham, cut into strips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Recipe

  • 1 in a large saucepan, melt butter over medium-high heat. add onion and cook to 5 minutes or until softened, stirring occasionally.
  • 2 add carrots, celery, chicken broth,6 and black pepper. bring to a boil.
  • 3 reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 8 to 10 minutes, or until carrots are tender.
