Granny Ruth's Shepherd's Pie

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 medium green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup beef bouillon or 1 cup broth
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 (8 ounce) package frozen broccoli cuts
  • 1/2 cup sliced fresh carrot
  • 1 (11 ounce) can niblets corn
  • 5 -6 large potatoes, cooked and mashed as you like them

Recipe

  • 1 brown ground beef in dutch over or deep frying pan, drain.
  • 2 add onions and peppers, sauté until tender crisp.
  • 3 add worcestershire, boullion, salt and pepper.
  • 4 bring to a boil.
  • 5 add carrots and broccoli, cover and cook until tender.
  • 6 add drained corn.
  • 7 put in casserole and cover with hot mashed potatoes.
  • 8 bake at 350°f for 20 minutes or until bubbly.
  • 9 turn oven to broil and brown mashed potatoes about 5 minutes.
