Homemade Chicken Soup

Ingredients

- 1 small roasting chicken, whole
- 1 small onion
- 12 ounces diced tomatoes
- 1 cup carrot
- 3 tablespoons chicken bouillon (more to taste)
- 1 (8 ounce) box orzo pasta
Recipe
- 1 wash chicken and remove bag of parts from cavity. throw them away. wash inside of chicken.
- 2 put chicken in large pot and cover with water.
- 3 bring water to boil.
- 4 turn water down and gently cook for 1 hour - chicken should be falling off the bones.
- 5 take chicken out of water and allow to cool.
- 6 add to water: chopped up onion, can of diced tomatoes, chopped carrots, 1 tsp of "better than bouillon" (taste to see if more is needed).
- 7 break up chicken and pull all meat off bones into very small pieces.
- 8 put chicken pieces back into stock.
- 9 cook for another hour.
- 10 cook a box of orzo noodles separately, rinse, add to stock. - orzos are going to grow so don't add too much.
- 11 eat.
